The Respect Competition is part of the Stop it at the Start campaign and encourages young people to think about respect and what it means to them.
The competition is open to students across Australia and is a great opportunity to create a short story that could be turned into a 30 second animation. You can enter by yourself or with your classmates in one of the competition categories:
- Students in years 4–6 (primary school)
- Students in years 7–9 (high school)
Stuck on a topic for your story? Here are a few suggestions to help you get started:
- R.E.S.P.E.C.T this is what it means to me
- How to show respect
- Finish the scene:
- You’re watching reels online when ‘ping’ you get a message…
- As you’re walking through the playground you notice something strange…
Please remember:
- All entries must include the word ‘respect’ as part of the story.
- All characters must be fictional and not depict identifiable real people.
- Do not use harmful language, profanities or depictions of violence.
- Entries must not exceed the 8 boxes provided in the storyboard template.
- The entry form and consent form must be completed and submitted together with the storyboard.
- The maximum file size is 5MB.
- Save and submit your entry as a pdf document.
